Everybody has to have a dream or else there is nothing pleasant to think of when times take you into Lowlandshire. Mine is to be able to afford a large house located in some remote spot on Dartmoor. The lounge will have a huge granite fireplace with an old wooden settle and on the walls will hang my favourite Dartmoor paintings. As this will never happen imagine such a place and sit you down on the settle by the roaring log fire. Outside the moorland wind is howling around the house, it occasionally whips down the chimney and blasts a firework display of sparks upward from the logs. The dogs are laid on the sheepskin rug and are gazing hypnotically into the leaping flames, every now and again Zeb will give a contented sigh. I’ll go and fetch a couple of tumblers brimming full of Ardbeg whisky and whilst I do take a look at the moorland masterpieces that are hanging on the walls…
